- DoTeX is a small program (written in E) which automatically selects the
- appropriate format file for use with TeX. For example, plain TeX documents
- need the 'plain' format file, whilst LaTeX documents need 'lplain'. DoTeX
- looks for '\documentstyle' within the first 20 lines of the file on which it
- was invoked, or a comment with the style option, '% latex' or '% tex'. This
- can be overridden by specifying the tooltype 'DOTEXFMT' in the icon for the
- TeX file. The argument can be 'tex', 'latex' or the name of the desired
- format file. For example, 'DOTEXFMT=texinfo' as a tooltype will cause the
- format file 'texinfo' to be used (i.e., the TeX command will be 'virtex
- &texinfo <file>').
- DoTeX requires TeX to be setup correctly, so it can find 'virtex' in 'tex:bin'.
- DoTeX may be run from Workbench, the CLI or as the default tool for a file.
- The CLI template is 'FILE/M', as DoTeX can process many files at once.
- Oh, and it requires OS2.0+, just because it's a lot easier to use the nice
- functions...
